Doggie DayCamp
Our DayCamp is currently operating Monday through Thursday. We limit the DayCamp groups to a certain amount of dogs per day because our DayCamp is a little different than most. Our Attendants work with the dogs throughout the day to encourage and promote polite behaviors with other dogs and when interacting with humans. We use fear-free tactics to keep your pet as stress-free as we possibly can while having fun in our program. Our focus is not only on giving them an ample source of exercise and mental stimulation, but sending them back home as a better behaved dog. Some of the skills we begin working on immediately are as follows: calling them out of play, drop it, sitting politely for greeting, appropriate socialization with other dogs, comfort with collar grabs, handling, etc.
Play Groups
We operate with set play groups. Membership is exclusive and spots are limited, that way your dog has playmates that are screened, safe, and fun! This ensures your dog gets the best out of DayCamp and is not exposed to any negative or unpleasant situations.
Scheduling
You have the option of scheduling your pet for a full day, half day morning or half day afternoon. If you prefer half days, your pet will not participate in our nap time held between 11:30 am-1:30 pm. Each dog will get a report card at the end of their day telling you how he or she did and what skills were worked on.

The Screening
Before we setup a DayCamp suitability screening, if you are not already a client of Shaffer Animal Hospital, then we do ask you to fill out a New Client Form. We will also ask for vaccination records as we require your pet be vaccinated with: DHPP, Bordatella, Rabies, and Canine Influenza H3N2. We also require proof of a clean fecal exam annually.
The cost of your private Screening is $30.00. You and your dog will meet with one of our highly skilled team members trained in canine communication and go through the Screening process together.
The team member performing the Screening will inform you on all the behavior they are observing so you can best understand the communication between your dog and their potential new friends. If your dog meets our DayCamp program criteria we then ask that you join our membership program. We will additionally go over our policy and any necessary forms at that time.
If you have any questions feel free to contact us by phone: (407) 366-6738 or email.
We look forward to meeting you and your dog!
